M3 extensions are suitable for ZEISS RST and other M3 sensors from Renishaw or Hexagon. Due to the Ø4 mm shoulder, they should not be freely mixed with Ø5 mm M3 XXT styli and extensions. The smaller diameter can lead to a loose connection and measurement errors.
M3 extensions with a 4 mm diameter have been specially developed for use with M3 sensors. These extension are not recommended for the ZEISS VAST M3 XXT sensor.
